55 Years Ago Today...

Boom.

...the "Tsar Bomba" was detonated, a 57 megaton (!) device that is the single most physically powerful device ever deployed by mankind (that we know of). The diameter of the fireball (seen above) was five miles. The energy released in the blast was roughly equivalent to ten times the entire firepower unleashed in WWII -- including the two US fission bombs.

Think perhaps it's time we meditate for peace and outgrow war?

This pic was taken A HUNDRED MILES AWAY.

Da-da's Easy 5-Step (Meditation) Sleep Method for Kids

Few realize it, but Da-da is the Sleep Master. Try this and you'll see why.

Triumph of A Man Called Da-da was at first supposed to be a parenting humor blog, but has since morphed into the metaphysical and anomalistic -- which is unavoidable when it comes to dealing with children and most government officials. In this light, here is a foolproof method of putting any child (or select adult) asleep with very little effort.

Da-da's Easy 5-Step Sleep-Method for Kids
After they've brushed their teeth and are in bed and ready for sleep, tell the child that you're going to teach them how to MEDITATE. When you speak, do so in a slow and calm, soothing voice. [Notes are in brackets.]

Step 1. Once the child is in bed, turn off the lights and tell them to get comfortable and close their eyes. Tell them to take a few deep breaths and relax.

Step 2. Tell them: "Now I want you to create a 'grounding cord' from the base of your spine [which you might have to describe] to the center of the earth. It's just a cord plugging you into the ground."

Step 3. Tell them: "Now imagine a big ball of white light all around you. [This is for their protection, but don't tell them that.] Wherever you go, this ball of light goes with you, all around you. Think of allowing only those with your greatest good inside your light bubble. Only those with your greatest good are allowed inside."

Step 4. "Now imagine a tiny, glowing white pine cone in the center of your head. [This is their pineal gland, a gateway of sorts.] Imagine a glowing cord going from that tiny pine cone to The Source, which is a big ball of very friendly light. You can't miss it."

Step 5. Tell them: "Now float... and imagine your true self, who you really are. Do this silently for five minutes." If they ask any questions, tell them to look around with their "spirit eyes" and find out. Check the time. Do not make a sound.
Five minutes later, your child is sound asleep. If your child isn't asleep, you either have a Yogi Master on your hands, or you need to add some calming layers to their bedtime routines (as well as avoiding all chocolate and sugar and ALL SCREENS two hours before bed; FYI, screens produce the same chemical in the brain that meth addicts enjoy). For the record, Da-da's oldest is classic ADHD, and he typically goes to sleep in five minutes with this technique, though Da-da sometimes has to do it twice.

When your kids are teens, have them try this meditation technique WHEN THEY'RE AWAKE, and concentrate on any number of meditation topics. Tends to calm them down. Grounding alone is worth the price of admission. This sleep technique also tends to eliminate bad dreams.

Better still, it works for adults. After you're comfortable with this meditation method and can get into it rather quickly, try asking for a spirit guide -- but be sure you set protection, as in Step 3.

If you have a baby you're trying to get to sleep, try Da-da's Baby Pendula, but please be careful.

(Meditation Note: While Da-da is suggesting kids lie down for the above, one would normally sit to meditate. Indeed, one can meditate anywhere. You can even meditate while walking or hiking or even riding in an elevator. While Da-da used to meditate every time his old boss used to talk to him, he typically meditates sitting/"zazen" in a rocking chair. Note that zazen doesn't mean sitting cross-legged the way you see monks and yogis meditating: "The aim of zazen is just sitting, that is, suspending all judgmental thinking and letting words, ideas, images and thoughts pass by without getting involved in them." -wikipedia, 'zazen')

Welcome to Da-da's Walking Meditation #1

As a Friday experiment in abiding spiritual circumambulatory Lebowski-ness, Da-da proposes you try what he calls a "walking meditation." These will be various thought experiments involving simple ideas and exercises you can try on for size during the course of your day, exercises that will hopefully get you closer to those places where your inner unicorn will flourish, or at least stop eating Da-da's roses.

These simple exercises will be easy to remember, and will hopefully go a long way toward bringing you into a better tomorrow, or at least a reasonable yesterday. Sure, removing old ideas takes time, but compared to enduring all the dreck that floats through your regular day, it'll be easy. And like Da-da said, these are an experiment, so relax.

Walking Meditation #1

For this first one, as you're walking around from place to place, on your way to lunch, or stuck at the office, in a class, standing in line, waiting in traffic, exercising at the gym, or whenever/wherever you're surrounded by people, IMAGINE that everyone around you... is a relative.

Everyone's your Aunt Jenny.
Everyone's your Uncle Charlie.
Everyone's grumpy Grampa Fred.

Sure, you might not LIKE all your relatives -- that's nearly impossible, even for Ascended Masters who all seem to to have an embarrassingly inappropriate Uncle Ira -- but try to imagine them as your favorite relatives. Give everyone made-up names, if you want. But don't go so far as to begin adopting total strangers, as you'll invariably wind up in the rubber room -- that's a WHOLE OTHER meditation, and we're not there yet.

Some people may sense what you're doing, look at you and SMILE. Smile back. People are a lot more psychic than you think. Some will understand what you're doing on a level you don't understand, and others won't, but just go with it.

Soon you'll realize that it's nearly impossible to get angry at someone who cuts you off in traffic when you see it was your crazy Uncle Charlie. You won't take quite the same umbrage you took before at the various slights and arrows that typically occur over the course of a modern day when you realize they were done by your extended family. Its also impossible to see people as objects if you imagine they're all related to you.

So, give it a try. Let Da-da know how it goes.

See? You're already taking Lebowski selfies while you abide.

The Flow With the Go: Your Front-end Realignment

Sometimes, you just have to go with it.

Ok, Da-da better understands this now. It's some kind of realignment. For those who know what Da-da's talking about...

When you hear "the beacon," or that sudden ringing in your ears, or experience any kind of mental pressure, or an urge to meditate, try this easy set of steps. Da-da's had this happen twice now, and this is what he did. Seems to work. It even worked on Da-da's wife, and she's a bit of a skeptic. Don't ask him what all this means. Note that this might happen more than once over the next four or five days, so you might need to do it more than once.
  1. Sit upright, preferrably in the sun. The moon is fine, too. Da-da has also done this out of the sun, but the sun is faster.
  2. Face the sun, eyes closed, no sunglasses.
  3. Breathe -- normally, don't hyperventilate.
  4. Imagine a cord dropping from the base of your spine to the center of the earth. This is a grounding cord. If you're agitated, add another cord, then another, till you calm down.
  5. Any errant thoughts that are jumping around, enclose them within each breath, then imagine it dropping down your spine, down the grounding cord to the center of the earth.
  6. Breathe in fully, imagining energy coming into your head (energy points 6 &7) then exhale the energy out and down the grounding cord. Do this five times (or more if necessary).
  7. Breathe normally.
  8. After a short time, you may begin to see colors. Go with it.
  9. Breathe, as above, through the colors. With each breath, imagine each color going where it needs to go inside your body. If you feel lightheaded, slow down. There's no rush.
  10. Do this until you don't see any more colors.
  11. Repeat this process again if you hear what Da-da calls "the beacon," or have any kind of sudden ringing in your ears, or (gentle) mental pressure.

Note: Most know this already, but chakras, or power centers, really do exist, mirroring the body's endochrine system, and run along rainbow lines: ROY G BIV. Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet. They run all the way through the body, front to back, and spin... in some way, but don't get hung-up on forms.

That's it. From what Da-da can tell, this is some kind of spiritual realignment, but Da-da can't tell you what it means, yet. He doesn't normally post stuff that's this out-there, but it's happening more and more... and since he was directed to, he's just gonna go with it.

Yogi-Da-Da's 7 Meditation Tips For a Better Tomorrow

You probably didn't know, but Da-da is a meditation and cogitation and sanitation genius. And since a friend recently asked Da-da how he meditates and what lead him to his current practice, he thought he might as well write up a short primer that describes Da-da's path -- which isnot necessarily the right path for you. There are countless paths. And there's no right or wrong way to meditate, unless you try meditating naked in a tub full of lime Jell-O -- which may result in instant enlightenment, who knows?

Anyway, Da-da gained a deeper part of the river via the books of Yogi Ramacharaka, which were actually written at the turn of the last century by a white guy in Chicago named William Walker Atkinson (he wrote lots of other books, too), but these particular ones were apparently inspired by the teachings of an actual yogi named Yogi Ramacharaka in the 17th Century, as well as by Swami Vivekananda, who was beyond famous in a previous life (he's now an Ascended Master). Anyway, if you'd like a short course of study, try these (in order):
  • The Hindu-Yogi Science Of Breath (A Complete Manual of the Oriental Breathing Philosophy of Physical, Mental, Psychic and Spiritual Development); 1903.
  • Fourteen Lessons in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism; 1904.
  • Advanced Course in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism; 1905.
  • Hatha Yoga or the Yogi Philosophy of Physical Well-Being; 1904.
  • The Science of Psychic Healing; 1906.
  • Raja Yoga or Mental Development (A Series of Lessons in Raja Yoga); 1906.
  • Gnani Yoga (A Series of Lessons in Gnani Yoga); 1907.
  • The Inner Teachings of the Philosophies and Religions of India; 1909.
  • Mystic Christianity or The Teachings of the Master; 1908.
  • The Life Beyond Death; 1909.
Many are available free online, as they’ve passed into the public domain. Da-da bought the original titles (small blue hardbacks) because he prefers books. They’re fast reads, with precious few anachronisms. The above list will probably take one year of study, and supercharge your meditiation dramatically. It will also make you healthier if you follow the teachings.

As for the "requirements” of meditation (sitting a certain way, humming, balancing a lhasa apso on your nose, etc.), toss out all the stuff. It makes no difference how you sit or what you do, but a few things are important for safety sake. This is what Da-da does:
1. Be comfy in a quiet place, sitting any which way, chair or floor or couch
2. Close your eyes
3. Imagine a one-way (going DOWN) "grounding cord” dropping from your root chakra to the center of the earth
4. Imagine a big gold/white ball of protective light energy glowing all around you (this is an important step)
5. Don’t strain, relax
6. Think (once): ”Only those with my greatest good are welcome”
7. Listen, and pay attention. (Don't fall asleep!)
Once you get comfy with this routine and make some headway (you'll know), the Nth step is to ask for a spirit guide. When you take this step, and you don’t ask for someone by name (there are lots of spirits willing to help) be sure to ask for someone, “with my greatest good in mind,” as there are lots of THINGS out there that will pretend to be advanced beings. You’ll need to train yourself to differentiate between light and dark beings. Note: if you “see” any beings, and you cannot SEE their eyes, tell them that they are better served elsewhere. Also, feel free to ask or meditate upon a question you might have, about... well, anything.

Meditation is like a river: sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes backwards.

NOTE: Read Da-da previous post, "THE INVITATION" if you haven't already. If you're hearing a tone in your head, chances are good that IT'S NOT A DISEASE. It's a focus point. You should use it in your meditations. Additionally, if you're having troubles getting into a meditative state (it took Da-da a while), try using isochronic tones.

Oh. THERE it is. We've been driving for 90 years!
