Forteana Friday: GoogleMaps Glitch-in-the-Matrix Mystery SOLVED

What is going on here?

Above is a classic GoogleMaps camera car "glitch-in-the-matrix" shot, of which there are several littered about the 'net. As he's ever-curious, Da-da independently asked two psychics to see what, if anything, was going on here. (Da-da knows what you might be thinking: he didn't believe in psychics either until one told him his life story from a, "hello." Suffice to say that some are remarkably accurate. Factually, we all have these kinds of abilities if you just give it a chance.)

Da-da gave said psychics the above image and the simple question: "What's going on in this picture? Are these two people, or the same person?" Da-da suspected this was simply two old men walking a familiar old-man route, wearing similar clothing. The results said otherwise.

The Results

Each psychic said the same thing: the above is the same man, but at different times, in what one termed a "time slip." At the time of this photo, timelines were apparently diverging; we're apparently down to two: a negative one "below," and a positive one "above." One guess how to get there.

These odd events seem to be either happening more, or we're documenting them better, as evidenced by Chris Savia's latest furry time-slip post at Who Forted? Stay tuned for more Forteana Fridays in 2015.

Don't Mess With Comet 67P? [UPDATE2]

Space monster in the comet? Let's hope this thing fails big. Read below to see why.

Da-da asked The Internet Oracle, a gifted psychic (yes, a real one) about the strange sounds coming from Comet 67P (Rosetta mission) -- which can hear for yourself HERE, it's spooky -- and this is what she said. It's spooky for a reason. Yikes.

Q. What is this sound coming from comet 67p (rosetta mission)? I think it’s from a telepathic species that’s placed their thoughts into a radio frequency band so humans might understand them. A. I don't see it as talking, but there is something living on this comet that exists at that frequency and we (with technical assistance) are able to hear that frequency.  I will say I didn't feel good about it -- and it feels dark.  I also get something not in the greater good will happen if we alter or do something with this comet (i.e., try to interfere, poke or prod).  I get a picture of us trying to destroy the comet eventually, and in doing so it spreads a disease (a puff of a virus comes out of it).  I get the creators of this comet are on a mission and do not want to be messed with.

Basically, don't mess with Comet 67P.  Lovely.

Perhaps this is why this comet was selected from all the other city-sized bits of flotsam in the outer solar system, and why various government agencies spent over $2 billion dollars on its ten-year mission? Da-da suspected this to be a lot of money for a such a small comet mission, and perhaps now we know why. It's like living a Japanese monster movie.

Note that there's probably little to worry about, as in this timeline, the anchor bolts did not fire into the comet (this feature failed), so if the drill portion doesn't work, either... someone has our backs. Lots of planned bad things (PBTs) are simply not occurring because of this simple, reassuring fact. It's the power of Positive Thinking. But if a giant monster egg appears in your timeline and starts spewing death, take comfort in... well, something... and good luck: we're all counting on you.

[UPDATE, afternoon, same day: The Guardian (UK) came out with a story along these above lines this afternoon... which is pretty shocking, as they're about as mainstream as it gets. So, basically, LEAVE THAT COMET ALONE! Let is pass. Nothing to see here.]

Autumnal Equinox Monday: It's About Time (or, "TIME QUAKE: FORCE INFINITY")

Name that movie.

Is anyone else having time dreams? The past two nights, Da-da's had dreams of being on a new timeline, one where things are slightly different and... better. In his latest one, the Time Lord himself, Dr. Who (strangely played by Ford Prefect from the BBC production of "HHG")...

Question: do people in Argyle wear argyle sweaters? Or is that considered gouche?

...gave Da-da a ride on the TARDIS... which actually looked more like a big covered golf cart with a trailer, but it's the thought that counts. What does all this mean? It means IT'S TIME. Time for what?

Hey, if Batman says it...

Of course, Da-da takes everything with a large ontological salt lick. But when he personally experiences data intersections in twos and three and fours... well, only those in denial pay short shrift. Da-da had been told by Lynn the Internet Oracle that he (and those residing at Spook Central, Da-da's abode) would start having dreams of a new timeline before making the jump. This has already started, not just with Da-da, but also with Bronko and Nagurski, Da-da's 7 and 9YO respectively, having their own time dreams. (Ma-ma is far too rational to jog after this train of thought... that is, until she has her own dream; she was a skeptic about Spook Central until she herself became possessed. Seriously. If Da-da hadn't seen it, he wouldn't have believed it.)

Anyway, things are changing for the better. The Powers That Were are on the run, or simply dying out. People are waking up to the silly MSM fear train that keeps running around in ebola/ISIS circles. Police are demilitarizing. Dogs and cats are living together. As they say, it's only a matter of time. (As Da-da proofed this for the last time, his ship's clock chimed six bells.)

And if all that isn't good enough news, it's also the Autumnal Equinox at 10:29 pm EDT. The first day... er, night of Autumn, yay. Hope you bought a jacket when it was on sale.
